A first approach and early study for a community and collaboration center for Casa Wabi in Oaxaca, Mexico.

The main concept involved (1) a below ground approach to the space given the wind and constant sun environment and (2) a nuclear gathering area resulting from the joining of cross paths. This early concept study was an initial approach to a very different final result being currently under construction.
